Privacy Policy

[1.] General Information

Protecting your personal data is very important to us, and we want to inform you in detail about how we handle your personal data. We strictly adhere to the applicable legal provisions regarding data protection (DSGVO, DSG, TKG).

[2.] What are personal data?

Personal data refers to information that relates to individuals whose identity is identified or identifiable (e.g., name, address, email address, telephone number, IP address).

[3.] What data is processed?

We process personal data via our website as follows:

[4.] Data related to website usage

When you use our website for informational purposes only, meaning when you don’t transmit information to us in any other way, only the data transmitted by your browser to our server is collected (so-called "server log files"). When you visit our website, we collect the following data, which is technically necessary to display the website to you:

• Shortened IP address and hostname

• Date and time of access

• Duration of stay

• Amount of data transmitted in bytes

• Source/reference from which you accessed the page

• Browser used

• Operating system used

The data processing is done in accordance with Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO based on our legitimate interest in improving the stability and functionality of the website. The stored data will be deleted once the purpose of storage no longer applies, unless there is a justified suspicion of illegal use and further examination or processing of the information is required. In any case, automatic deletion will occur after three months from the initial storage of the data.

[5.] Data in connection with contact

When you contact us (e.g., via contact form or email), personal data is collected. The data collected is determined by the information provided in the contact form, including the contact details provided by you there or in an email. These data are used exclusively for the purpose of responding to your request or for contact and related technical administration. The legal basis for processing this data is our legitimate interest in responding to your inquiry according to Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO. If your contact aims to conclude a contract, the additional legal basis for processing is Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO. Your data will be deleted after your request has been processed, unless legal retention obligations contradict this.

[6.] Subscription to our email newsletter

When you subscribe to our email newsletter, we send you regular information about our offers. The mandatory information for sending the newsletter is only your email address. Providing additional data is voluntary and will be used to address you personally. We use the so-called double-opt-in process for newsletter registration, meaning we will only send you the newsletter via email once you have explicitly confirmed that we should activate the newsletter subscription. We will send you a notification email and ask you to confirm your subscription by clicking a link contained in that email. By doing so, you give us your consent to use your personal data in accordance with Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. a DSGVO. When subscribing to our newsletter, we store your IP address, as registered by the Internet Service Provider (ISP), as well as the date and time of the subscription to track any misuse of your email address later. The data collected during the newsletter subscription will only be used for the purpose of marketing communication through the newsletter. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time via the link provided in the newsletter or by contacting the responsible party as mentioned above. After unsubscribing, your email address will be immediately deleted from our newsletter distribution list, unless you have explicitly agreed to further use of your data or we reserve the right to use your data beyond that, which is legally permitted, and which we inform you about in this statement.

[7.] Use of Google Maps

We use the “Google Maps” component from Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, hereafter referred to as "Google," on our website. Each time the "Google Maps" component is called up, Google sets a cookie to process user settings and data when displaying the page where the “Google Maps” component is integrated. This cookie is usually not deleted when you close the browser but expires after a certain period unless you manually delete it. If you do not agree with this data processing, you can deactivate the "Google Maps" service, which will prevent the transmission of data to Google. To do so, you must disable the JavaScript function in your browser. However, please note that in this case, you may not be able to use “Google Maps” or only to a limited extent. The use of “Google Maps” and the information obtained via “Google Maps” is in accordance with the Google Terms of Service [http://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/terms/regional.html] and the additional terms and conditions for “Google Maps” [https://www.google.com/intl/de_de/help/terms_maps.html].

[8.] Use of “Friendly Captcha”

Our website uses the “Friendly Captcha” service (www.friendlycaptcha.com). This service is offered by Friendly Captcha GmbH, Am Anger 3-5, 82237 Wörthsee, Germany. Friendly Captcha is an innovative, privacy-friendly protection solution designed to make it harder for automated programs and scripts (so-called "bots") to use our website. We have integrated the Friendly Captcha program code into our contact form. This causes the visitor's device to establish a connection to the Friendly Captcha servers when interacting with the protected area (e.g., submitting a contact form). The visitor's browser receives a task from Friendly Captcha. The visitor's device solves the task, using certain system resources, and sends the result to our web server. Our server then contacts Friendly Captcha’s server and receives a response indicating whether the puzzle was correctly solved. Depending on the result, we can apply security rules to requests on our website and process or reject them accordingly. The data is used exclusively for the described protection against spam and bots. Friendly Captcha does not set or read cookies on the visitor's device. IP addresses are only stored in hashed (one-way encrypted) form, which does not allow us or Friendly Captcha to trace back to an individual. This use is in accordance with Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO based on our legitimate interest in determining individual accountability on the Internet and preventing misuse (e.g., abusive access by bots) and spam. Further information on data protection in connection with Friendly Captcha can be found at [https://friendlycaptcha.com/de/legal/privacy-end-users/].

[9.] Cookies

To make visiting our website more attractive and enable the use of certain features, we use so-called cookies. Cookies are small text files that are sent when visiting a website and stored on the user’s hard drive and/or by customers. If the corresponding server of our website is called again by the user or customer, the browser sends the previously received cookie back to the server. The server can then evaluate the information received through this process in various ways. For example, cookies can be used to control advertising displays or facilitate navigation on a website. If you, as a user of the website or customer, do not wish to use cookies, you can change the settings in your Internet browser (e.g., Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Opera, or Safari) to prevent them. If cookies are not required for our online services, we ask for your consent for the use of cookies when you first visit the website. The legal basis for this data processing, including any data sharing, is your consent according to Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. a DSGVO. Any consent granted can be revoked at any time for the future, especially by changing the selected settings. The legal basis for using necessary cookies is our legitimate interest in properly providing our online services according to Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO. Please note that rejecting cookies may limit the functionality of the website.

[10.] Will data be shared?

We do not share personal data with third parties unless it is necessary for the purposes mentioned and there is a legal basis for doing so, such as a statutory requirement or the fulfillment of a contract. In this case, data will be passed on to external third parties, such as service providers who process data on our behalf (processors). These processors are particularly IT service providers. All processors process your data only on our behalf and based on our instructions for the purposes outlined above.

[11.] How long is your data stored?

Your personal data will be deleted as soon as the purpose for processing is achieved or no longer applies, unless there are legal obligations requiring further processing. Furthermore, personal data is retained if it is necessary for the assertion, exercise, or defense of legal claims. This data will be deleted no later than when the limitation period expires (usually 3 years).

[12.] Your rights as a data subject

You have the right to access your stored personal data at any time, as well as information about its origin, recipients, and the purpose of data processing. You also have the right to correct inaccurate data and to request the deletion of your data. You may also withdraw your consent to data processing for the future if the processing is based on your consent. You have the right to restrict processing and to receive your provided data in a structured and commonly used format (data portability). Additionally, you have the option to file a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Barichgasse 40-42, 1030 Vienna, Email: dsb@dsb.gv.at).

If you have questions regarding your personal data, please contact us using the contact details provided in section 14.

[13.] Data security

The protection of your personal data is ensured through appropriate organizational and technical measures. These measures protect against unauthorized, illegal, or accidental access, processing, loss, use, and manipulation. Despite efforts to maintain an adequate level of care, it cannot be ruled out that information you disclose over the Internet may be viewed and used by others. Please note that we do not accept any liability for the disclosure of information due to errors in data transmission or unauthorized access by third parties (e.g., hacking of an email account or telephone, interception of faxes).
